Do you ever feel a strong compulsion to do something, and no matter what you try, you can’t escape the feeling that you need to be doing that thing? That’s how I feel with being creative. That intense need is all I’ve ever known when it comes to drawing or building or writing.

I’ve wanted to do a blog of some kind for, well, probably over a decade now. Ideas of creating a blog focused on drawing, or maybe model-building, or examining some of the interesting aspects of art history have swirled around in my head since I started pursuing art seriously in undergraduate courses those many years ago. So why didn’t I?

That’s an interesting question. The typical excuses I suppose. Too busy. Not enough to say. What if no one reads it, or worse, no one cares? Something I’ve realized, however, after completing a bachelors and a masters in visual arts is that the perfect time has always been the one right in front of me. The simple fact is that I simply want to share and exchange ideas about art and creativity with others – with you.

Which brings us here! I am finally taking the ideas I’ve daydreamed about and actually doing something about them. I appreciate you being here and am looking forward to sharing my creative ideas and hearing yours. Let’s make something!
